Some things I see when I go walking.

So naturally in Paris you do a lot of walking. And over the last week I've done quite a bit of exploring. Things just pop up all over to amuse you.

Like this giant mosaic head. This is what happens when you exit a metro at the wrong exit. You find arts!

Also cute little shops pop up that are impossible to walk by without going into. (No mum, I didnt buy anything.)

Strange translations. Takeaway hand. Have a nice day! Is that a thats what she said moment?

Designers being creative in their windows.

Strange fountains with big metal balls, in a palace that I didnt know was around the corner from me til I literally fell into it.

Carousel in the rain.

Jewellery made to look like gummi bears! (If I ever find this place again, I need one of those pendants.)

Strange hidden little gardens that you can not get access to. (could also explain the lack of dog poo and used condoms...)

Gardens that surround the tops of underground shopping centres none the less.

Strange modern buildings squeezing in between beautiful old buildings.

These poles hold the floor up from some kind of waterways. Differing in heights they look quite effective together. If I were a not crippled person I would be hopping from pillar to pillar.

Markets filled with the freshest most colourful produce.

Jenga with baguettes. Oh for the love of god, will someone come to Paris and play jenga with baguettes with me!

Cute little round gazebos in wonderful parks on sunny days.

And what better to do in such a park than feast on champagne, baguette and of course pastries!

And to prove that its not all just walking around and shopping and eating and drinking... I have almost finished my first embroidery of a metro ticket. Take that!
