Day of death.

I completely forgot about this blog... I was sure I had posted it... oh well.

On this day, awhile ago... I met Abby and Lauren at Pere Lachaise cemetary. This is where lots of famous people are buried. And stuff. Its lovely to walk through, though not if there is a zombie apocalypse.

I'm not sure who this guy was, but they say its lucky to rub his crotch! So we did, of course.

WWII memorials

Oscar Wilde

Jim Morrison.

After walking the morning away in there, we headed to the pantheon.

Under the pantheon there are the crypts. This is where Voltaire, Madame Curie, and some other dudes are.

The crypts were interesting, but the place isnt that old, so its not creepy at all.

The girls then dyed my hair! Finally black again.

and then we all went a little insane from ant rage.

Lauren has Zebra feet!

So to sum up. cemetary, crypt, dying my hair and killing ants. Lots of death today.

Weekend with Uncle, and the week with parents in Paris.

Last weekend Uncle John came down again to enjoy a nice Paris weekend. Poor Carol was busy studying and couldnt make it. We went to Pere Lachaise cemetry, the catacombs, l'orangerie musee, and for a few nice walks.

Me with Oscar Wilde.

Hanging at home.

We had a lovely little picnic by the seine.

Monets water lillies

It was a good weekend. Lots of cocktails.
Then I had one day to prepare before the parents arrived.

They got in at 8am on tuesday after something like 30 hours of travel. Screw that...
They were obviously pretty tired that day, but lasted most of the day. we walked around the area a bit.
Dad did almost fall asleep in his beer at a restaurant. Haha.
By the next day mumma had started to get quite sick. She still is. Hopefully getting better now! Poor thing has lost her voice, and is all fluey and cant even taste chocolate!

I walked with dad to invalides, to see napoleons tomb. A nice long walk.

Willy the boat with the big prick as dad calls it.

Ducklings!

My local for Moroccan lunch. Mums took up half the table.

Yummy tagine!

A walk to luxembourg gardens to get rid of the food.

River cruise on the seine.

The beginning of the bald spots tour of europe.

We did other stuff, but I'm lazy and didnt take photos. We're in Nice right now, where its been raining and pouring and thunderstorming for hours. But its still a lovely little town.

Pompidou day.

I went to check out a new exhibition at the pompidou. Paris - Delhi - Bombay contemporary indian art works. Very cool.

There was also a new curation of the permanent exhibition. Some interesting pieces.

Finally the inside out project. A giant photobooth which prints giant photos of you and drops them from two stories high. Awesome!

There was also some smaller photo booth things around. Pretty good. Considering it was free.

Just a night by the eiffel tower.

So.. awhile ago I helped a friend with her art project, by standing near her for a few hours while she took photos. This time it was of the Eiffel tower sunset.

If you get off at a metro called trocadero across the seine from the tower, you can get this great view.

Lots of cute puppies.

And mechanical ones.

The place on the corner does really good icecream. It was cold, but we still managed to get some.

And stay long enough to watch it sparkle!

Keep an eye on the weather. this was just after 10pm when the sun had finally set, and we almost froze.

Pretties and stuff.
