busy week of busy-ness.

I was slack with the photos, but I can recap anyway. After my long weekend in amsterdam and my busy parisian tuesday which you would have read about if you are following this blog, i spent the wednesday and thursday doing mosaics, hence the finished mosaic in the previous blog. Thursday was such a nice day we decided after class to have an evening picnic in buttes chaumont, a man made park, which is very pretty. We had lots of cheese, bread and wine. The park closed at sunset, but that was around 8:45pm anyway.

Friday, last french lesson for two weeks! Hooray! Theeeen, we picked up the essential macarons from Laduree before heading to the cinametique to see the Stanley Kubrick exhibition. They didnt allow photos in the exhibition, but I bought the book because it was awesome. For those of you who dont know, Stanley Kubrick is the director of some of the best films ever made. The Shining, Clockwork Orange, 2001 Space Odyssey, Eyes wide shut, Dr Strangelove, Spartacus, and many others. The exhibition had props from the movies, scrips, film clips, photos and much more. It was really great to see.
After the exhibition we went to Gare du Nord to pick up Michelles friend Fiona who stayed with her for the weekend, and then we went to Angelinas for hot chocolate, and then to Abbys for dinner.
I have fallen in love with these potatos. Seriously. So cheap, so tasty. We also had roast chicken, it was very yummy. After that, Michelle, Fiona and I headed to a cocktail bar nearer to my place to meet up with Erin. The place was very cool, you can make your own cocktails there and its very fun. I'd had a few already and couldnt be bothered to choose, so I let the lady who couldnt drink at the table make one up for me. She did well, it was very nice. It ended up being walking distance home, but the bridge I cross to get home (the one covered in padlocks) seems to become a party bridge for young students. It was packed full of french students drinking and singing and playing music and having fun! It looked amazing.

Saturday.
Morning. I met the girls at my favourite market and bought some little things for my paris collection.  I also found the usual qwirky things.

Spider in a ball?

Metro sign?

cute little bottles of perfume.

Salt and pepper shakers...

Cars.
It was fun. I got badges and old postcards and stuff. I like stuff. After this we walked home to Abbys which was relatively close by for left over chicken rolls for lunch. We then went to the Champs Eylees for H & M times. Which was painful. So busy. I wanted to kill a woman. I will stop there before I get angry again. haha.
We stopped at Laduree again so Fiona could try some awesome macarons. ( I didnt buy any! I swear!). And then it was off to the Haagen Dazs cafe.

It was amazing.

The girls all got big icecream things which were beautiful, but I got an awesome milkshake that filled me up just nicely as we were heading to Michelles soon for Fondue times!
Michelles consisted of drinking, a massive tub of fondue cheese, homemade crepes by Lauren with lemon butter, and a massive cake thing. It was a lovely night.

Okay. SUNDAY.
Today we actually slept in, finally. But at 12pm we met up at the Science museum because they are having a science fiction exhibition. It was pretty cool.

This was where my camera died, but it was an amazing exhibition, there was so much in it. Its fun to see some movie exhibitions instead of always the art ones.

So to round it all off, monday came, and I'm in Brussels. I get back into Paris on Friday afternoon, and I'll update brussels stuff then. I'm still the busiest woman at the moment. No wasted time here!
